I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
